OVERVIEW
The solution for your software licensing questions: the LServe LDS™ License Manager and Distribution Server system for easy and secure license
distribution over the network:
- supports static and floating licenses
- freely choosable license keys
- fully randomized license keys that can't be cracked and generated automatically
- licenses that have become invalid can be revoked via network
- additional configuration and setup data transmission
- user-specific encryption algorithms of licensing information transmission
- extremely slim and efficient server software that runs smoothly also on very weak server systems like small VServers
The problem is a very common one: you distribute a software and dont wan't unhonest users or competitors to spread fully working copies without
paying for them. Currently there are the following solutions available for that problem:
- you can use a hardware dongle - that is expensive and can't be delivered electronically
- you can use a more or less clever license key that contains information about your product - that key can be copied to other users too and a
key generator that creates your key easily is only a question of time
- or you can retrieve the licensing information via network from a central license distribution server like the LServe LDS™
The last option can't be cracked: a user in best case has a license key that is fully random or that is equal to the MAC-address of its computer
system but the information if that license is valid and unused at the moment is not available on users side. It is retrieved from the LServe LDS™ license distribution server dynamically. Here you can see why that method of license distribution is secure: information that are not available at
an end user can't be manipulated by that end user.
